Whirlwind Golf Club
Located just off of Maricopa Road and I-10, Whirlwind Golf Club
offers 18 holes of championship golf at the 7017-yard Devil's Claw
course, as well as the new and longer, Cattail course. Both Gary
Panks-designed a masterpieces will challenge players of all levels
while maintaining playability.
Devil's Claw encompasses 242 acres of land comprised of 92 acres
of turfed area and 150 acres of native landscape enhanced by indigenous
grasses and plants, and stands of Mesquite, Saguaro, Palo Verde
and Cottonwoods.
Cattail incorporates three lake features and the 2.5 mile, man-made
recreation of the original Gila River.

The 8,500 square-foot clubhouse is designed in a style influenced
by the culture of the Gila River Indian Community, and features the
golf shop, practice facility, locker rooms, and full-service restaurant.
Private golf instruction and group lessons are available from Whirlwind's
Professional Staff of certified PGA and LPGA instructors. Clinics
can be arranged for any occasion.

Whirlwind Golf Club is located 3 of a mile west of I-10 off Maricopa
Road - exit 162a. Take I-10 East to Maricopa Road (exit 162a). Exit
South onto Maricopa Rd. Travel for approximately 1 of a mile to
the second paved road to the right (west). Turn right onto North
Loop Rd (look for the large Whirlwind Entry sign) and follow it
to the end (approximately 3 of a mile) to the golf shop.
